Bringing Perfection to Antique Engine Rebuilding in Connecticut and New England.

Aldrich Engine Rebuilding was started in 1987 with the intent of providing quality engine rebuilding and machining to the antique automotive marketplace. When we opened our doors, most shops had a rather negative attitude toward antique work. Unless it happened to be a small block Chevy, they just weren't interested. Our focus at that time was–and still is–to provide the same vital services for an antique car that you would expect for a new car and to do that work with the tools and methods from when your antique was a new car.

Since our startup, we have striven for perfection and always to improve our quality by adding new services and improving existing services. Our past work experiences include: Automotive, Light Industrial, Truck, Heavy Equipment (Bulldozers, etc.), Tractors, Marine and Motorcycle. We are limited to machine shop work and unfortunately do not provide electrical or cosmetic services at this time.

In the future, we will continue our growth and expansion to better serve our customer base, and as always, our focus is on quality and pride in craftsmanship.

While most of our work comes from Connecticut and New England as our reputation has spread so has the area our work has come from.

Our Engine Rebuilding Facility & Philosophy

Aldrich Engine Rebuilding is 1700 sq ft. of vintage equipment, period tools and a down to earth, nitty gritty passion for antique engines. The reason I rely so heavily on period equipment and tools is really very simple...its the very equipment that was designed to be used with the antique engines I work on.

At Aldrich we do all of our work under one roof and unlike some of our competitors we take great pride in sending or contracting out as little of every job as possible. Keeping things in-house means every part fits perfectly and meets a UNIFORM SET of high quality standards...ours!

Good luck with your antique restoration
